While at work, a good friend instant messaged me with a triva question. The conversation is as follows. I thought of Papelbon early but really thought he would be getting there this year. Bobby Jenks didn't even enter my mind.

[14:58](Matthew -)if you heard it on ESPN radio this morning, disregard
[14:58](Daniel Strafford)ok

[15:02](Matthew -)ugh
[15:02](Matthew -)dude
[15:03](Daniel Strafford)that easy?
[15:03](Matthew -)the 2nd one yes
[15:03](Matthew -)the 3rd one, still pretty easy, and ill explain why after
[15:03](Matthew -)but the 2nd one yes
[15:03](Daniel Strafford)ok.
[15:03](Matthew -)i mean, yes
[15:03](Matthew -)like, nathan has the most of the 3, but i got this guy first
[15:03](Matthew -)before ntahan
[15:04](Daniel Strafford)I'm struggling here man.
[15:04](Daniel Strafford)I will get this
[15:04](Matthew -)yeah, there's only 30 closers in baseball. it's prtty easy to get in an AFTERNOON!
[15:04](Daniel Strafford)ha, give me to 3:10
[15:06](Daniel Strafford)Cincy's cordero one of them?
[15:06](Daniel Strafford)this is dreadful
[15:06](Matthew -)nope
[15:06](Matthew -)definitely dreadful
[15:07](Daniel Strafford)Papelbon? has he been closing long enough?
[15:07](Daniel Strafford)Its four years of closing for 100 saves.
[15:08](Matthew -)yes
[15:08](Matthew -)yes he has
[15:08](Daniel Strafford)And with the same team
[15:08](Matthew -)jeez louis
[15:08](Daniel Strafford)I thought he hadn't gotten that high
[15:08](Daniel Strafford)Soria the last one?
[15:08](Matthew -)dude, 100 saves is 3 healthy years for an above average closer
[15:08](Matthew -)he was there since like 05
[15:08](Matthew -)no
[15:08](Matthew -)no soria
[15:08](Daniel Strafford)no idea man
[15:09](Matthew -)jenks
[15:09](Daniel Strafford)I feel like a terrible baseball fan
[15:09](Daniel Strafford)DUH!
[15:09](Daniel Strafford)jesus
[15:09](Daniel Strafford)I am deleting my blog
[15:09](Matthew -)and he was simple for me, because all i did was think of the longest running closers. he would usually be under the radar, but then you think of him winning the world series
[15:09](Daniel Strafford)right
[15:09](Daniel Strafford)well done
[15:09](Matthew -)papelbon came to me in about .2 seconds
[15:09](Daniel Strafford)me too
[15:09](Daniel Strafford)I jsut didn't think it was long enough time
[15:09](Matthew -)best closer in the game. 33 saves a year x3.
[15:10](Matthew -)i would guess papelbon is at like 120 already
[15:10](Matthew -)then after him i said hmmm....who's been around a while. actually got jenks before nathan, cause i think of jenks winning it all
I would like to take this moment to apologize to the MLB Network. I won't fail like this again.

The funny thing is thinking about the number of guys that could've had 100, if they hadn't just left their teams this offseason.
Hoffman, K-Rod, Fuentes., Isringhausen. That's as many right there.
Then you have Lidge who left a year ago, and Wagner who has 101 with the Mets but isn't closing anymore.
Also - don't be so hard on yourself. Cordero was a damn good guess. 96 right now with the Reds. He could be a right answer at this time next week!
