Sizing Up the Risk with Grady

I am taking a slight gamble in two of my head to head points leagues this week. Grady Sizemore has said that he wants to be in the lineup when the Indians get back to action on Tuesday in Pittsburgh. Now, no player in the league has the final say in these matters. Sizemore is a great talent and someone you can bet the Tribe will be taking their time with. They can't risk a long term injury with the cornerstone to their franchise.

The Indians are ten games out in the AL Central, and looking like they may be sellers come the trade deadline. But they are prideful bunch and will look to see if the next three to four weeks can get them back into the mix.

So do they activate Sizemore and let him work through his elbow problems in the majors, or do they take it safe and let him heal a little bit further? I am wagering they bring back the star centerfielder and see if he can't jump start their offense. In both leagues, I am benching Jason Kubel who has been a great start for most of the season, but who has some sort of stomach bug he is dealing with right now. So far this season, the stomach bug has won more battles than it has lost.

What do you think? Playing Sizemore too much of a risk when I need wins now. Or will he come through with enough points to make me forget about Mr. Kubel and his pepto?

Mr. Kubel can't hold Grady's jock strap (or his gold gloves either) go Grady!
