Holliday Season in St Louis

Sorry for the headline, the best I could do as Buster Olney tells the ESPN community this is a done deal. Matt Holliday goes to the Cards for third baseman Brett Wallace, outfielder Shane Peterson, and right-handed pitcher Clayton Morenson.

I think its a great pick up for the Cards, who now have picked up Julio Lugo, Mark DeRosa, and Holliday to try and get back to the big dance in October. Time will tell if these prospects become quality major leaguers that Billy Beane can trade away at the deadline in 2014.

From the numbers I was able to gather, Holliday is a career .385 hitter in St. Louis with five homers. Last season he was only one for ten but in 2006 he was eleven of 22 with four dingers.
