Tigers' third baseman Brandon Inge and Phillies outfielder Shane Victorino have been voted into the All-Star game by the fans in the "Final Vote". Apparently the two were dubbed "Bran-Torino" by Philadelphia and Detroit for the final push in their campaigns. Creative... still a bigger fan of Pablo Sandoval aka "Kung Fu Panda" over the "Flying Hawaiian" Mr. Victorino.
A great baseball quirk tonight. Joel Hanrahan earned a win for the Washington Nationals, while having the night off with his current team the Pirates. Hanrahan was the pitcher of record in the Houston and Washington game finished tonight after being suspended on May 5th. The Nats ended up winning the game AT Houston eleven to ten in eleven innings (the game had begun in DC back in May) giving Hanrahan the victory.
Look for our first attempt at a Fantasy Baseball Podcast this Sunday or Monday. Joe Pisapia and I have a go at the first half winners and losers and projections into the second half. I'll link it up once I finish editing it.
