What a Friday night...
Alex Rodriguez... you know him the one who isn't at all clutch... went deep in the 15th inning to win two to nothing over the Red Sox. AJ Burnett and Josh Beckett matched zeroes on the scoreboard for seven innings and then each teams' bullpen did the same. It looked like the Yankees had it won in the 14th, but JD Drew made a fantastic play in right field.
The San Diego Padres put up five runs in the ninth to beat Frankie Rodriguez and the New York Mets, 6 to 2. Evereth Cabrera hit a walk-off grand slam off of the Mets closer, his second career Major League homerun. For Rodriguez, it was his second straight blown save.
Ryan Langerhans hit a two homerun to push the Mariners to a six to five win over the Tampa Bay Rays. The M's trailed 5 to 1 in this one. Ken Griffey, Jr. went deep as well, on Ken Griffey, Jr. Bobblehead Night.
Dodgers closer Jonathan Braxton can't hold the lead against the Braves, giving up a run in the top of the ninth. In the 11th, the Braves put the game away with four runs. Atlanta won 9 to 5.
The Florida Marlins picked up a game on the National League East, beating the Phillies three to two.
