After a gigantic goose egg on Monday and Tuesday, Derek Jeter rattled off
three hits in four at-bats last night to tie Lou Gehrig on the Yankees all-time hit list. One more hit for the current Yankee captain will put him in sole possession of first place. The shortstop had been mired in an 0-12 slump before bunting for a base hit in the first inning. He will try to move past Gehrig when the Bombers face the Orioles at the Stadium tomorrow night.
