Wow... look at the four players repping the senior circuit for the Home Run Derby. Hometown hear Albert Pujols, former champ Ryan Howard, Adrian Gonzalez, and Prince Fielder. Lets see who the AL can trot out there to even come close to that star power (at the All-Star game no less!)
Imagine if the NBA could get the equivalent to participate in the Slam Dunk Contest. Kobe, Lebron, and so on. You get the picture.
We await the American League's entry.

I'd like to see Ichiro entered. I forget who said it, but one of his former teammates/coaches said he could win a home run title if he wanted. I'm not sure I believe that, but it would be fun to find out.
I imagine the AL entries will be Morneau, Granderson, Pena if he wins the final player vote (probably not), Lind (<-- see Pena), Bay, and a boring 1st timer like Bartlett, Zobrist or Hill.
Be nice to see Hamilton back, but he may not want to after missing all that time, Tex is too "big time" now to do a derby, Youkilous is just a jerk. Maybe a Victor Martinez?
