Kazmir to the Angels

Just saw that Scott Kazmir was dealt from the Tampa Bay Rays to the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. I really don't know what to think of the deal. Kazmir has had a rough year, and has often been injured throughout his stay with Tampa, but he is a lefty with good stuff who is only 25. The Rays get out from under the 25 million dollars they owed Kazmir and the Angels get an insurance policy on John Lackey, if he chooses to leave via free agency. Also, Kazmir has pitched well against the Yankees, Red Sox, and Rangers, three potential playoff opponents.

Brad Penny
is garnering interest from the Marlins, the Giants, and the Yankees. I think it's time for the righty to return to the National League. He would be a solid addition to the back of a great Giants rotation.
